Sometimes, change is good. Some, not so good.
It's been a while since I visited here, things have been happening with my personal life. Steve, my darling husband of 20 years, has been diagnosed with Stage 1 Multiple Myeloma. At first I didn't understand it, but as it turns out, is bone marrow cancer, and has been undergoing treatment from the top doctor in the country.
We just completed a 4 month stint of chemo injections, and now bone growth therapy. I seen a man, who went from a 185, waste away to a 146. Bones fragile, and he's got this widespread. We believe this may have started back to 9/11, when he worked with other volunteer firefighters clearing of debris.
Yes, we are going to look into this much further.
That being said, I have been keeping busy. Working, driving a school bus. And at home, currently in a state of chaos. I am redoing our upper floor. So far the little room is complete, now tackling our bedroom. New flooring, a fresh coat of paint, a new bed....the list goes on and on. Selling things we don't need or want, or trashing things. Been stagnant for too long.
Which brings me to a new phase in my hobbies. Threads N Strands is no more. I am calling it Pebble Lane Stitchery for now on. It's where I live, work, and play. I am working on new concepts, new ideas, and entering another great phase in my life.
Working on bringing Etsy back to life, new items to sell, fresh concepts, and possibly asking my friends to model for me. I got my stitchery groove back, I made a wedding sampler for a couple of friends a few months ago, they were floored. So, while I am thinking about it, I am going to take an asprin, and stitch my afternoon away...
Blessings
G
